Holidays and travel are a great time to catch up with some reading. I used to load up my iPad with new books to read, but with the ban on such devices in cabin luggage coming into force and possibly being extended, I am having to go back to physical books.

I am not too disappointed. I much prefer holding a book to an iPad. So, although iPads are much more convenient and take up much less space, it’s back to books for me!

My holiday reading will usually take in something from my favourite authors: Haruki Murakami and William Burroughs, as well as some history or a biography. I also like to take an author I’ve not read before.

My reading is  fairly eclectic but I hope you enjoy the selections I have made, or will make in the future.
